Work as one team and deliver
We leverage our individual strengths to create a whole that is greater than the sum of its parts - as an organisation, and as part of the LGBTQIA+ community. We believe teamwork is built on trust, support and accountability. We are reliable and follow through when making commitments, or communicate when we can’t.
Break down barriers and foster an inclusive community
We continually strive to make our community a safe space for LGBTQIA+ young people starting their careers. Our aim is to create environments where everyone in our community feels comfortable to share their stories and voice their needs. We proactively seek to understand our community’s access requirements in order to provide inclusive environments.
Centre intersectionality in the pursuit of equity
We strive for equity because we revere justice and fairness. We believe equity cannot be achieved without an intersectional approach. We aim to consciously improve our awareness of intersectionality, and translate this awareness into action by actively seeking input, advice and participation from individuals with intersectional identities or experiences.
Listen with respect and act with compassion
We listen actively, from a place of respect, and seek to understand the views and lived experiences of others. We look after ourselves and each other. We show kindness, empathy and compassion through our words and actions.
Give our best and keep learning
As a purpose driven, volunteer-led organisation, we are here to give our honest best. We all have something valuable to contribute, and new things to learn. With ourselves and each other, we are accountable, patient and determined on our journey to continuously improve.
Empower our next generation
Our organisation’s purpose is to empower LGBTQIA+ young people to bring their authentic selves to work. We seek and create meaningful opportunities to elevate our next generation, and act as the bridge to our broader LGBTQIA+ community and allies. We centre the interests of the next generation in our values, decision-making, and actions.
